The only digital library in Poland that makes its collection available on the Open Internet. The school e-library ‘Wolne lektury’ (Free Literature) is the only digital library in Poland that makes its collection available on the Open Internet in the form of the texts that are semantically arranged. The readings from this library are not only scanned text – the interactive nature of the Internet has allowed the Foundation to build in additional tools for work and study based on the texts (through an on-line publishing platform and advanced tools for tagging, searching and categorizing).

Since 2007 over 1200 literary works from the list of school readings recommended by Ministry of Education were digitalized thanks to the collaboration with a number of e-volunteers. The collection of texts is still expanded with new literary works, and the number of users is continually increasing – during the last year 900.000 unique users were served.
