The project aims at informing about eating disorders and providing the online support. “Volunteer street worker in the jungle of Internet” is the first project in Czech Republic that aims at informing about eating disorders and providing the online support for those who suffer from diseases as anorexia or bulimia.

Nowadays Internet seems to be the most preferred source of information, because it provides anonymity.. And that’s the main reason, why the Anabell.cz website has been created. For people who suffer from diseases not accepted socially, it is a lot easier to make the first step in searching for help through the Internet. On the Anabell.cz they can find volunteer´s assistance – specially trained e-volunteers offer them advice, support and help and they also try to motivate the users to seek professional help in the “real” world. Moreover, e-volunteers actively look for people who might be endangered or already suffering by some disease in the Internet, e.g. on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
